Hill to the Naval Historical Foundation, and later donated to the Naval History and Heritage Command. USS LSD-1 operating with LCMs off Iwo Jima; views taken in Nagasaki after the war, with views of USS C-4 type hospital ship, USS Wichita (CA-45), USS Cambria (APA-36) and USS Cahuilla (ATF-152); explosion of USS Longshaw (DD-559) off Okinawa, May 1945; scenes off Okinawa with kamikazes, including USS Columbia (CL-56), USS Portland (CA-33), USS Bates (APD-37), USS Roper (APD-20), USS St. George (AV-16), USS LCS(L) 116, USS Panamint (AGC-13), USS Teton (AGC-14), USS Leutze (DD-481), USS New York (BB-34), and grave of Ernie Pyle. Some photos have been assigned NH numbers.
