S-009 Captain Lloyd G. Findley, USNR Collection. Photographs and documents concerning the Trust Territory of the Pacific, primarily 1945-1950. Internment and repatriation of Japanese POWs and civilians on Saipan, Japanese surrender on Saipan December 1945. Many scenes of natives and locales on islands including Truk, Rota, Ponape, Pagan, Palau, Yap, Saipan, Angaur, Carolines, American Samoa, Majuro, Likiep, Kwajalein. Persons seen include Senator Ernest McFarland, Rear Admiral H.R. Thurber, Admiral Arthur Radford. US and Japanese warships including USS LST-1039, USS LST 611, USS Roque (AG-137) USS Whidbey (AG-141), and Japanese merchant ship Tsukushi Maru. Documents transferred to Operational Archives and Navy Department Library. Approximately 3 folders of material.

Admiral Arthur Radford visits various locations, May 1950, including Carolines, American Samoa, Majuro, Likiep, Kwajalein. Visiting Mission of the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations, 1950. USS Whidbey (AG-141).
