S-515 H.E. Coffer Collection

Collection of 18 photographs related to John C. Hedigan, a US Navy musician (trumpeter) during WWII. The images consist of Hedigan in uniform with rates up through Muscian, 1c, during the 1940s, plus some views in civilian dress and in the uniform of an unidentified band. Also included are views of the Navy Band at Portland, ME, circa 1943-1945, with Hedigan in each photograph, as well as the Navy Band playing at the Bureau of Engraving dance in Washington, DC, 1942. Part of this collection also includes an oversized panoramic image of company 42-127, Naval Training Station San Diego, listed as S-515-A, of which Hedigan was a member in 1942.
