![This collection of 135 photographs and several textual items consists primarily of views taken while then-Rear Admiral W.B. CAPERTON, USN, was CinC Pacific Fleet, c. 1918 and Commander, Cruiser Squadron, Atlantic Fleet, c. 1915-1916. The majority of views are of people and places in Haiti and South America, many in postcard form. There is only a limited selection of images of Caperton and U.S. Navy subjects. Many photos have been assigned NH numbers. Booklet and magazine transferred to Navy Department Library. Also included Chilean Minister of Marine (name unintelligible); envelope from a letter addressed to Rear Admiral Caperton aboard USS WASHINGTON off VERZ CRUZ, from the American Consular Service.
