NHF-038 Admiral William B. Caperton Collection

This collection of 135 photographs and several textual items consists primarily of views taken while then-Rear Admiral W.B. CAPERTON, USN, was CinC Pacific Fleet, c. 1918 and Commander, Cruiser Squadron, Atlantic Fleet, c. 1915-1916. The majority of views are of people and places in Haiti and South America, many in postcard form. There is only a limited selection of images of Caperton and U.S. Navy subjects. Many photos have been assigned NH numbers. Booklet and magazine transferred to Navy Department Library.
