Title: Michael Cotiguala Collection
Description: Donation of 165 color slides by Michael Cotiguala regarding his 1970 deployment to Vietnam onboard USS America (CAG-9) with VF-92. The donor was an Aviation Structural Mechanic Third Class (AMS-3) with VF-92 for most of the tour. The slides mainly consists of aircraft (F-4, A-6, A-7, HC-2, F-8, P-3 Orion) on the flight deck, launching, and in the air; as well as various views of USS America (interior & exterior). Specific scenes include refueling at sea; resupply ships; and end of cruise at Norfolk, VA. Other ships included are: USS Southerland (DD-743), USS Agerholm (DD-826), USS Vega (AF-59), USS Rogers (DD-876), USS Robison (DDG-12), USS Benjamin Stoddert (DDG-22), USS King (DDG-41), and USS St. Louis (LKA-116).
