Alger-Taylor Collection  98 page scrapbook from the service of Admiral Montgomery Meigs Taylor, donated by Louisa Alger to the Naval Historical Foundation, and subsequently donated to the Naval History and Heritage Command. Content is related to Taylor’s command of USS Buffalo in 1914, and the U.S. Naval Radio Expeditions to Alaska. Locations seen include: Mare Island, Dutch Harbor, Unalga, Kodiak, Unalaska, Pribiloff Island, Cordova, Sitka, Japonski Island, Child’s Glacier, Copper River. Topics: radio tower construction and radio equipment; minstrel show; baseball team. Scrapbook and pages had deteriorated and was disassembled. Material is related to collection NHF-086. Some photos have been assigned NH numbers.
