Caption: On 11 January 1813, when cruising off the coast of Venezuela, the British 20-gun ship HMS FAWN, Captain Thomas Fellowes, fell in with and, after a long and arduous chase, captured the celebrated privateer ROSAMOND of 8 heavy guns and 105 men, after a gallant and determined resistance by the American privateer's men. The action took place near Puerto Cabello.
