Caption: Shown after towing to Maltepe, Turkey, the first group of lend-lease ships (2 SC, 6 RPC) to be returned to U.S. custody in the Black Sea, on 17 May 1954. She is either IVAN BORISOV, IVAN SLADKOV, SERGEI SHUVALOV, or possibly SEMYON ROSHAL. The Black Sea units of this class were begun just before the war and completed in 1947-48.
