Caption: When her stern was blown off in a depth charge explosion following a collision with HMS MOTANGUA. This accident occurred at sea off Queenstown on March 19, 1918. The ship was repaired at Liverpool and re-entered service in December 1918. This photograph was taken while the MANLEY was drydocked at Birkenhead.
