Title: "Great White Fleet" World Cruise
Description: Great White Fleet World Cruise Postcard published in Japan to commemorate the U.S. Atlantic Fleet's visit there in October 1908. This card features a ed view of the Fleet steaming in column, plus vignettes of a Japanese lady using small binoculars and a group of three U.S. Navy officers. The reverse of this card is essentially identical to that seen in Photo # NH 106114-A-KN. The card was mailed on 20 December 1908 from Seattle, Washington, to Miss Tillie Cathcart of Jersey City Heights, New Jersey. Collection of Chief Quartermaster John Harold.
