Title: L51-01.06.01 CURV III
Caption: N. Atlantic Ocean - The cable controlled unmanned recovery vehicle, CURV III, from the naval undersea research and development center, San Diego, is lowered into the water to attempt to attach a line to the disabled British built undersea research vehicle Pisces III. The two submariners aboard Pisces are in danger as the craft lies on the 1,450 foot deep sea bottom 100 miles southeast of Cork, Ireland. CURV will succeed in attaching the line so that the Canadian Coast Guard cable repair ship John Cabot can pull her to the surface.
