Description: (Japanese Passenger-Cargo Ship, 1940) Seen through the periscope of USS Seawolf (SS-197) on 3 November 1942. Sagami Maru was loading cargo at the small settlement visible ashore, in Davao Gulf, Mindanao, and was sunk on the spot by Seawolf's torpedos. Note her pattern camouflage. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.
