Description: When launching aircraft, the flight deck crewmen of the USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63), are a busy group of men. An F-4B Phantom roars from one of the ship's waist catapults as one crewman races to the "cat" position on a metal cap over the shuttle sot hat the bridge can be retracted. In the foreground, an A-4 Skyhawk waits its turn on the bow catapult. April 1966.
