Description: A mock machine gun nest on a hillside explodes in the aftermath of a rocket strike by an F4U Corsair, shot for the training film "Airborne Forward Firing Rockets Tactical Principles." A remote controlled camera is mounted on top of the building at right, with a cable running down to the camera operator below. Filming location was Camp Cooke, CA. Image taken from a photo album documenting the operations of the U.S. Naval Photographic Services Depot, Hollywood, CA, during World War II.
