Description: 81 photographs related to the USS Oracle (AM-103), 1945-1946, taken during the Navy service of Donald Watson. Watson attended the Great Lakes Training Center in Chicago, IL (graduation photo included), attended the Navy Electronic Training School at Treasure Island, CA (graduation photo included), and served aboard USS Oracle (AMS-103). Post WWII images include a Sitka, Alaska cruise during the summer of 1947 (with USS Buck in the harbor); cruise to Shanghai, China, 1945; cruise to Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan (including village and city scenes during liberty); lots of onboard crewmembers and general ship scenes; & USS Oracle in dry dock.
