Description: Ship collection containing five boxes of several hundred negatives and transparencies of USS Shangri La (CVA-38) from 1969 to 1970. Subject matter consists of various onboard mechanics, aerials, memorial services, ship damage, initiation ceremonies (Crossing the Line), at sea, evaluation tests, in dry dock, in foreign ports, onboard fire, damage to aircraft, awards presentations, and various officers. Also included are several log-books with specific image descriptions for the corresponding negative number.
