Description: Photo book with 18 images of USS San Marcos (Ex-Texas) when she was used as a target in Chesapeake Bay, March 1911. The views show the ship in various stages of damage, interior and exterior. Several views show the effects of shot on armor, including examples of resistance as well as penetration/and or shattering of armor – including that of the conning tower.
