One shows the Scouting Fleet at Balboa Harbor in the Canal zone, 1934, including USS Indianapolis (CA-35), USS Chicago (CA-29), USS Dobbin (AD-3), USS Whitney (AD-4), USS McFarland (DD-237), USS Goff (DD-247) and other ships including battleships, cruisers, destroyers, and auxiliaries. The other images shows USS Iowa (IX-6, BB-4) under fire as a target in the early 1920’s.
