Loose pages from a scrapbook, containing 49 black and white photos of US naval activity in Asia, around the end of World War II. Collection was found on board USS Stethem (DDG-63) in 2017. Shown are: USS Leary (DD-879), USS Bordelon (DD-881), USS Leary (DD-879), USS Duluth (CL-87), USS Iowa, (BB-61)USS New Jersey (BB-62), USS Boxer (CV-21), and the Japanese battleship Nagato. Scenes on board USS Blackhawk (AD-9) on transit home to San Francisco from the Pacific theater. Scenes in Japan at Yokosuka, Kure Bay and Toyko, including damaged buildings, shipyards, and ships. Also photos taken at: Hong Kong and Tsingtao, China; Tinian; Guam; Saipan. Original owner of photos is unknown; it is possible they once belonged to Kenneth Eugene Brown.
