Description: 5 photo scrapbooks plus assorted loose images, from the US Navy service of Lloyd Arthur Plansky, who served from 1917-1937, and was recalled for service during World War II. Focus is on protected cruiser USS Chicago and various submarines, primarily in Hawaii and the Caribbean. Selected images of interwar period naval aviation. In addition to photos of his naval service, there is extensive imagery of his home life and travel throughout the United States. Family photos and ship photos have some captioning, but individual and group photos of sailors are mostly unidentified.
