S-145-A: 97 page scrapbook showing conversion of USS Repose to a hospital ship, with many good views above and below deck. Group portraits of ship’s medical staff. Commissioning ceremony, with Admiral Ross MacIntyre speaking, and Captain H.O. Britton taking command. View of ship’s sponsor just prior to christening ship in 1944.

S-145-B: 70 page scrapbook, disassembled due to preservation issues, related to USS Repose during the Vietnam War, 1965-1970. Reactivation at Hunter’s Point Naval Shipyard, with interior and exterior views. Recommissioning ceremony. Views of medical equipment. Change of command ceremonies, awards ceremonies, promotions, and distinguished visitors. Crash of UH-34D on board ship. Crossing the Line. Relief of ship by USS Sanctuary (AH-17).
