Description: 120 snapshots of life on board USS New Mexico (BB-40) during World War II taken by Pearl P. Micheletto. Images show mascots, change of command ceremonies, images of dead Japanese soldiers, entertainment performances, internees on Saipan, and artillery action against Japanese targets. Additional photos show the USS New Mexico (BB-40) and some sailors that served on it in a group picture. The sailors signed the back of the photo and listed their home addresses.
