Caption: "A photograph taken in Hyde Park, London on Wednesday, 15 July 1942 by a passer-by with Lt. Comdr. Morison's camera. The officer in the white cap is Lieutenant commander Samuel Eliot Morison, USNR. The officer in the dark cap is Sub-Lieutenant Peter Greene Morison, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (RNVR), Lt. Comdr. Morison's only son. Sub-Lieut. Morison was the first American to join the RNVR."
Description: 74 photographs from Samuel Eliot Morison during his United States Naval Reserve service during World War 2. Many of the photographs show Morison's time on USS Brooklyn (CL-40) during "Torch Op" in November 1942 and have detailed captions provided by Morison.
