Photo album of 29 images related to USS Philippines (SP-1667), her officers and crew, including scenes of places and events related to WWI and the Treaty of Versailles. It is believed that the original owner of the album was an enlisted member of the ship’s crew. Specific imagery includes views of USS Philippines, crew member’s sightseeing trips to Paris (there are many images of local Paris locations), various WWI battle locations in France, President Woodrow Wilson and associated activities at the time of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, June 28, 1919 and departure from France on June 29, 1919. Also of note are French railways and railroad passenger cars and German airship LZ-96. Other ships noted in the images include: USS Freedom (ID-3024), USS George Washington (ID -3018), various French steamers, and German submarines.
