UA 58.01 NAS Whiting & Ellyson Field Collection

Approximately 60 color negatives of base and aircraft images from Naval Air Station Ellyson Field (Pensacola) and Whiting Field in Florida from the 1970s. The Ellyson photos consist of base buildings, hangars and overall aerials, as well as the following aircraft and squadrons: TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopter, UH-1 Iroquois helicopter, Training Squadron Six (VT-6), and Training Squadron Two (VT-2). Photos taken at Whiting Field consist of base buildings (including groundbreaking & ribbon cutting events), ceremonies for Training Air Wing 5 (TRAWING 5), T-28 Trojan of Training Squadron Two (VT-2), HT-8 and HT-18 squadron building. The collection also includes several images of USS Lexington (CV-16) taken via aircraft from Whiting Field.
