NHF-078 Vice Admiral James Maher Collection

7 black and white photos taken during World War II, donated to the Naval Historical Foundation by Vice Admiral James Maher, and subsequently donated to the Naval History and Heritage Command.  Air attacks at Tulagi and Guadalcanal; general quarters USS San Juan (CL-54); captured Japanese naval personnel;  USS North Carolina (BB-55); USS Vestal (AR-4); USS Washington (BB-56). Most photos have been assigned NH numbers.
