Title: Edward Marolda Photo Collection
Description: Dr. Edward Marolda wrote extensively on the Vietnam War. As such, the majority of Images cataloged within the Marolda collection depicts the U.S. Navy’s involvement in the Vietnam War between 1955 and 1975. Some of these images were used by Dr. Marolda in his book, By Sea, Air, and Land: An illustrated History of The U.S. Navy and The War in Southeast Asia. Files used by Dr. Marolda in this specific book are organized by chapter. Dr. Marolda’s collection also contained several loose files related to the subject of the Vietnam War. These loose files have been organized by subject. In addition to files regarding the war in Vietnam, the Marolda collection also contains several folders related to other post-world war conflicts in which the U.S. Navy actively participated in. These files are organized by their respective conflicts. For example, files related to the Korean War or the Gulf War have been labeled as such in order to distinguish them from Vietnam material. Generally, the dates within the collection range from 1945 until 1993.
