Description: Two photographs from the collection of Kenneth Leister, USN, who served aboard USS Princeton. One image is an oversized panoramic photograph of Fleet Week in New York City May 27-June 6, 1946, highlighting the ships of Admiral Marc Mitscher’s 8th fleet, including USS Missouri (BB-63), USS Princeton (CVL-23), and USS Midway (CV-41). The New York City skyline is seen in the background. The second photograph (copy) is of USS Bordelon (DD-881) in the harbor of Shanghai, China, 1946. This image appears to have been color damaged to due to fading.
