2017.20 Kim E. McMaster Collection

Collection of 36 black and white photographs and 1 postcards, formerly belonging to the donor’s father, James R. Jack, who served in the Navy in the 1950’s. Good views of underway replenishment, mostly taken from on board USS Marias (AO-57). Other ships shown include: USS Altair (AKS-32), USS Allagash (AO-97), USS Coral Sea (CVA-43), USS Plymouth Rock (LSD-29), USS Mississinewa (AO-144), and an unidentified destroyer. Also seen: coming into port at Naples; ship’s band playing; swim call; small boat operations; highline operations; mail operations involving Piasecki HUP-2 Retriever Helicopter.
