Description: Scrapbook (disassembled for preservation purposes) related to USS Saratoga (CV 60), circa 1935. Images consist of aircraft takeoff and landings. Onboard ship scenes include: flight deck crew, ship’s band, buddies/pals, ship’s crew; James Cagney, Jean Muir & Pat O’Brien onboard; Crossing the Line ceremonies (excellent photos); and ceremonies. Additional scenes include USS John D. Ford (DD-228) leaving San Francisco; landscapes & buildings in Honolulu, Hawaii during leave; USS Macon (ZRS-5); USS Ranger (CV-4); USS Lexington (CV-2); USS Dahlgren; and aerials from San Francisco.
