Title: CDR Stanley D. Hart Photo Collection
Description: Collection of 13 photographs from CDR Hart's collection of images dating from his service as a Navy surgeon from 1910 to 1920. It is unknown the association between Hart and the images, as he does not appear in them nor is it known if he was present during when they were taken. Several of the images from the collection have been cataloged at the item level in the NH series (NH 94248-NH 94257). The subject matter of the images includes the Philippine Islands during the early 1900s, USS Thornton (TB-33); and ceremonies at Naval Training Station (NTS) Newport, RI., circa 1915-1917. - 5 images of ceremonies at the flagpole at NTS Newport, RI, 1915-1917. Individuals identified include: CAPT Rufus Z. Johnson, Lt De Chevigne (French Navy), CAPT H.F. Bryan, and several British officers.
