Title: Janice Henry Photo Collection
Description: Collection of approximately 50 photographs, mounted on loose card stock paper. Images from the naval service of James McCartney, 1942-1954, many related to aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La (CV-38) at the end of World War II. Aircraft crash on Shangri-La flight deck. Planes being loaded on carrier from dock at San Diego. Photos of groups of sailors, some have captions with names. Scenes at Panama Canal, including floating dry dock transiting the canal on barge. Ammunition ship USS Firedrake (AE-14) in 1952, including view of shells on deck for replenishment.
