Subject matter consists of Company 254, US Naval Station, Sampson, NY, 1943; VJ Day at sea (group photos of sailors celebrating); groups of pals / buddies aboard unknown ships and in port / on liberty; general ship scenes including mail call; view of USS Arkansas (BB-33) from land. USS P.C. 1208 & 1186 are referenced on the back of some photos, but not seen in the images.
