64 photographs related to the naval service of George H. Dunn aboard the USS Cebu (ARG-6) circa 1944-1945. Subject matter of the collection consists of images related to various rooms aboard USS Cebu (laundry, mess, offices, shops, etc.); ship’s signalman working with semaphore flags; religious services, music concert, cargo handling; ceremonies; and other onboard activities and crewmembers. There are several good images of officers and crew in formal settings; and are likely organized by the various divisions. Also included are several images of cooks preparing meals, the mess compartment and serving line. Several views include liberty activities on a southern or western Pacific island (buildings, dancing, tug-of-war, drinking beer, etc.).There are item level descriptions for each image in the collection available. Several images from the collection have been given item level numbers from the NH series (NH 106232-NH 106327).
