Title: Aimee Dowdall Photo Collection
Description: Collection of 12 photographs related to the Norfolk, VA Navy Yard in 1919, including the dry dock (images with and without ships docked- USS George Washington (ID-3018); as well as a single photograph of several sub chasers docked, including: SC 234, SC 118, and SC 193. The collection also contains three photographs of trains and rail road track which were utilized at the Navy Yard. One of the images with a train is identified as the #4 dry dock and includes the names of the men in the shot. The photographs were collected and purchased by the donor’s father.
