Description: Collection of 16 photographs from the naval service of Annie Aspinall Thompson (MaM2c - mailman, 2nd class) during the mid-1940s. The photos are mostly of the women who served as mail clerks in the Fleet Post Office in New York, including the Specialist M (Mail Clerk) School at the US Naval Training Center in Sampson, NY (1944), as well as general candid images of the women around the base. Three oversized prints are also available and include group photos of the entire company of the US Navy Fleet Post Office, NY as well as the Air Mail section of the US Navy Fleet Post Office, NY.
