Collection photo # UA 44.04.01 - USS Pennsylvania in Miraflores Locks, Panama Canal
Collection of photographs taken at the Panama Canal, circa early 1920s during the transit of the US Fleet in the Locks and Culebra Cut, including: USS Mississippi, USS New Mexico, USS Maryland, USS Pennsylvania, USS Texas, and USS Saratoga. Also included are three submarines, the O boat and R23 in the Lock chamber. The collection also consists of a small group of photos taken onboard USS Cleveland during the conference (1925 or 1926) between the San Blas Indians and the Republic of Panama, with the United States acting as arbitrator.
