Title: Gustave Brodbeck Photo Collection
Description: Collection of 20 photographs related to the naval service of GMC Gustave Brodbeck from circa 1898 through WWII. The images consist of 5 portraits of Brodbeck during different times during his career, including as an apprentice seaman, circa 1898; as a GM1/c circa 1910, as a GMC prior to WWI, and as a GMC circa 1930s-1940s. Also included are several group photographs with Brodbeck included, with the time period ranging from 1919 to circa 1945. Brodbeck appears to have served aboard USS Mississippi (BB-41) during time period of 1919-1920. There are 12 snapshots of the ship, as well as friends, relatives or associates to Brodbeck. Several of the images from the collection (all relating to USS Mississippi) have been removed and placed in the NH image series at the item level (NH 92302-NH 92304): see below.
