Subject matter of the collection consists of fellow sailors aboard USS Laning at the various locations she visited; ship’s guns & radar equipment; sailors with Japanese flag; exterior ship views; views of the San Francisco Bridge; ships off the coast of Korea and Eniwetok; scenes of sailors at Hawaii, China, and Eniwetok (at the beach and visiting local sites); villagers in China and Korea (including many children); and views of ships involved with the Korean Invasion at Jinsen, September 8, 1945.
