A British rendering of the boarding of USS Chesapeake by sailors of HMS Shannon. It highlights British Captain Philip Broke directing his men against a fierce defense. In reality, the largely untrained crew of Chesapeake remained below deck. Following the victory, Captain Broke was knighted.
