Phoenix, an ironclad floating battery, was built by the Confederates probably in 1863 and outfitted as a ram. She was sunk at Mobile, Ala., in August 1864 as an obstruction, and later burned.

Phoenix, an unarmed high-pressure tender to CSS Manassas, was under the command of Capt. James Brown. She took part in the engagement at Forts Jackson and St. Philip and was destroyed there on 24 April 1862 as a part of Comdr J. K. Mitchell's flotilla.
