NEMO is a 66" transparent acrylic plastic hull assembled from 12 2 1/2" thick spherical Pentagons, and is intended for use by skilled non-divers. Testing has proved its safety as well over the presently planned 600' operational use depth limit. Designed by The Naval Civil Engine Laboratory, Port Hueneme, and Constructed by Southwest Research Institute, NEMO is presently (1970) undergoing tests off Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, BWI.
