Description: (American Barge, 1918) Fitting out at the Harry Cossey Shipyard, Tottenville, New York, in 1918. Barge # 76 is partially visible at right. Built for the Moran Towing & Transportation Company, of New York City, Barge # 84 was inspected by the Third Naval District on 29 June 1918 and assigned the registry ID # 3168. Subsequently taken over by the Navy, she became Freight Lighter # 96 and later YF-96. Barge # 76 was assigned the registry ID # 3030 and subsequently became Navy Freight Lighter # 95 and later YF-95.
