Description: (ID # 2179) In port, possibly at New Orleans, Louisiana, where she was placed in commission on 4 January 1918. She was decommissioned in June 1918 and transferred to the U.S. Shipping Board. Originally built at Hamburg, Germany in 1905, this freighter bore several different names following World War I, including Calixto Garcia (1922), Lotte (1925) and Gernis (1926).
