Caption: Cartoon depicting Japanese Navy ships firing from positions behind the AUGUSTA and over her. The Chinese, in determining where to return the fire, would often not be able to do so, as incidents where Chinese shells had hit the AUGUSTA had already occurred and they (the Chinese) were not anxious to hit the ship again. The Chinese positions were on Pootung Point. Cartoon drawn circa, 1937.
