Caption: Took place on 31 October 1942 when 13 month old Judith Bower Marshall was christened by Chaplain Lieutenant Fred Bennett following church services in the station chapel. The baby is held by Boatswain Burton C. Carstanson, proxy for the godfather, Lieutenant Commander Albert G. Bower. Others left to right are Miss E. Maude Soper godmother, Chief Machinist Mate B.E. Walker, and at right, Mr. and Mrs. William Leroy Marshall, the parents.
