Title: DOUGLAS DT-2 (BUNO A-6584)
Caption: Built by L.W.F. Engineering corp., this is a torpedo bomber of the early 1920's. These planes were built with interchangeable wheels/twin float gear. Early torpedo planes operated on floats in squadron service; at this point our only aircraft carriers, USS LANGLEY (CV-1), was too small to handle such heavy airplanes. This plane is evidently in nonsquadron service, since it wears no squadron markings.
