Caption: Stipple engraving by R. Pollard after N. Pocock. Published in the "Naval Chronicle," February 1799, by Bunney and Co., London. "A distant view of the entrance into the outer harbour of Brest, by Mr. Pocock, from a sketch taken by Mr. Francis Mason on board the IMPETUEUX in 1797. A small frigate is introduced; under her top-sails, standing off and on; and in the foreground is a correct representation of a chasse maree. The adjacent coast is exactly described."
