Title: Admiral Nimitz Holding a Trophy which was found among Ruins in Guam
Caption: Officers' Golf Trophy of Commander Asiatic Fleet found in the ruins of a building in Agana, Guam by Lieutenant J.F. Hall, USN. It bears the four stars of an admiral of the U.S. Asiatic Fleet, and shows the figure of a man standing on a golf ball and holding a laurel wreath in his right hand. It was presented to Admiral C.W. Nimitz (CINCPAC) ON 28 August 1944 by Commander E.B. Peterson, USN and upon the end of World War II, Admiral Nimitz will present it to the Commander Asiatic Fleet for permanent display.
