Title: U.S. Battle Fleet
Caption: Photographed in March 1926, perhaps in Cuban waters. Identifiable are two battleships of the NEW MEXICO class and four destroyers, LAVALLETTE (315); WOOD (317); KIDDER (319) and CHASE (323), all from the battle fleet; and one DD, either HUMPHREYS (236) or J.K. PAULDING, from the scouting fleet. Also present are a cruiser of the OMAHA class, an oiler, and other destroyers. One of the battleships has had the platforms on her mainmast raised, the other has not.
